Incorporate more self-care into your day with the 31 days of summer wellness challenge. Each day you’ll focus on a small step you can take to expand your wellness in eight key areas: career development, sustainability, finances, mindfulness, nutrition, physical fitness, community and connection.
Social Security: A foundation for planning your future

Form and interval run clinic with the UW Endurance Club

Calling all walkers, joggers and runners of every level to enjoy an in-person clinic with Lauren Updyke, wellness officer for UW and Executive Director for Employee Engagement. Lauren is a proud Canadian who first moved to the U.S. for college with a Division-1 track scholarship. She has her Master’s in Exercise Physiology, certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, and has coached and trained thousands of athletes over her career. She has run 31 marathons and counting!
In this clinic you will learn proper running and walking form, how to interval train, and fun drills to build strength in your hips, gluteal and core. All levels are welcome.

Skills & drills running clinic with the UW Endurance Club
Tuesday, Aug. 29, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Rainier Vista
Calling all walkers, joggers and runners of every level to enjoy an in-person clinic with running coach Aaliyah Earvin. Coach Aaliyah worked in the fitness industry for 12 years before becoming a certified running coach. She has her bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University, where she ran track & field, and a Master in Sports Management from American Public University.
In this clinic you will sharpen your walking and running skills as we practice drills for your upcoming race, personal growth or fitness. Walkers and runners will learn movement that can be added to their current routine. After a warm-up, we will break down the drills and finish with a cool-down. All levels are welcome.
