This March, join The Whole U in celebrating National Nutrition Month with the theme “Food Connects Us!” This month-long program highlights the role of food in bringing people together, fostering traditions and supporting overall well-being.

This year, we’re introducing a National Nutrition Month Bingo Challenge! Complete activities throughout the month to explore new foods, engage in mindful eating and connect with others through food. The challenge begins on Monday, March 3 and ends Friday, March 28. Sign up now to join the challenge!

Alongside competing in the bingo challenge, attend events and activities for nutritional education and full-body wellness. From navigating tough conversations with loved ones to learning about colorectal cancer detection and prevention, March has a little something for everyone.


Lettuce Talk Savings in the Kitchen

Wednesday, March 12, noon to 1 p.m.

Ever wish you could cook nutritious meals without breaking the bank? Join The Whole U and Dr. Anne-Marie Gloster for a fun and interactive session on how to make the most of your grocery budget while creating delicious, artful meals! Learn smart shopping strategies, meal planning tips and creative ways to reduce food waste.


Protein Cooking with Chef Eliot

Tuesday, March 18, noon to 1 p.m.

Join The Whole U and Assistant Campus Executive Chef Eliot for a cooking demo where you’ll learn the essential techniques of pan-searing and grilling proteins. You will discover how to season effectively and control heat for optimal results. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class will give you the confidence to elevate your home cooking!


Navigating Tough Conversations with Aging Loved Ones

Tuesday, March 18, noon to 1 p.m.

Do you find it challenging to discuss future health, caregiving or financial matters with your aging loved ones? These conversations can be sensitive and emotionally charged. Join UW WorkLife for a webinar with David La Fazia, PhD, MSW, a seasoned social worker and gerontology expert, who has dedicated his career to improving the lives of older adults and their caregivers.

Wednesday, March 19, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This informative session will guide you through the ins and outs of Social Security, from eligibility requirements to maximizing your benefits. Topics include eligibility requirements for Social Security benefits, how early retirement affects your benefits, programs administered under the Social Security Act and when and how Social Security and Medicare benefits begin.


Everything You’ve Ever Wanted to Know about Fluoride

Thursday, March 20, noon to 1 p.m.

Curious about the role of fluoride in maintaining oral health for you and your family? This engaging session with Dr. Donald L.
