The Whole U is partnering with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association to offer flu shot and COVID-19 booster vaccine clinics across our campuses this fall.

Everyone attending a clinic must register for an appointment with SVNA.

COVID-19 Boosters

The COVID-19 booster vaccine supplied at all UW clinics is the Moderna vaccine (2024-2025 Formula) corresponding to the Omicron variant KP.2 strain of SARS-Cov-2. Read a fact sheet about the new booster.

Flu Shots

Faculty and staff: Those enrolled in UW-provided PEBB health plans (Uniform Medical and Kaiser), plus graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Appointee Insurance Program (GAIP), can obtain a free annual flu shot as allowed under the plans’ preventive care coverage.

If you are not insured by UW, follow the steps to make an appointment to see if your insurance is accepted by SVNA. If not, you can choose to pay the out of pocket fee through the online form.

Students: Students are welcome to attend any flu shot clinics. When registering for your appointment, enter your insurance information. If you are not insured, you can choose to pay the out of pocket fee through the online form.

UW Medicine employees: UW Employee Health offers clinics at the UW medical centers for medical center staff. Please refer to your hospital employee health department for information about medical center clinics.

How to Make An Appointment

Registration is required: Find a clinic that works with your schedule and register for an appointment with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association.

Are you required to receive a vaccine for employment at your department? If so, be sure to bring the correct form with you to your appointment. Inquire with your supervisor or UW Employee Health if you are unsure. All UW Medicine employees are required to get a flu shot.

The online registration will ask you for insurance information. Have your insurance card ready. On the date of your clinic, arrive to the clinic at your appointment time and check-in. You will receive a confirmation email from SVNA to confirm your appointment. You can view a full list of clinics below.

Patients paying out of pocket will be invoiced after receiving their immunization. Payment can be made electronically by debit/credit card. No payment will be accepted at the time of service.
