Flu Shot & COVID-19 Booster Clinics 2024
The Whole U is partnering with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association to offer flu shot and COVID-19 booster vaccine clinics across our campuses this fall.
Everyone attending a clinic must register for an appointment with SVNA.
COVID-19 Boosters
The COVID-19 booster vaccine supplied at all UW clinics is the Moderna vaccine (2024-2025 Formula) corresponding to the Omicron variant KP.2 strain of SARS-Cov-2. Read a fact sheet about the new booster.
Flu Shots
Faculty and staff: Those enrolled in UW-provided PEBB health plans (Uniform Medical and Kaiser), plus graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Appointee Insurance Program (GAIP), can obtain a free annual flu shot as allowed under the plans’ preventive care coverage.
If you are not insured by UW, follow the steps to make an appointment to see if your insurance is accepted by SVNA. If not, you can choose to pay the out of pocket fee through the online form.
Students: Students are welcome to attend any flu shot clinics. When registering for your appointment, enter your insurance information. If you are not insured, you can choose to pay the out of pocket fee through the online form.
UW Medicine employees: UW Employee Health offers clinics at the UW medical centers for medical center staff. Please refer to your hospital employee health department for information about medical center clinics.

Registration is required to secure your appointment time and help us safely distance from one another. Register for each of the clinics at the link provided above. When you register, you will also enter your insurance information.
Can my family come with me?
Yes, dependents can attend a vaccine clinic. Age limits for children depend on the vaccine. You must sign up each member of your family individually. Questions? Please contact SNVA at info@seattlevna.com
Flu vaccine: Children must be at least age 4 to receive a flu shot at The Whole U clinics. Please consult your health care provider when deciding at what age to begin vaccinating your children for the flu at an offsite public clinic setting.

What type of flu vaccines are available? Are preservative free vaccines available?
SVNA uses the Flucelvax Trivalent Preservative-Free flu vaccine at our Fall 2024 clinics. We do not provide Flumist Nasal Spray flu vaccine or Fluzone High-Dose flu vaccine. We are awaiting the fall 2024 FDA & CDC Covid19 vaccine recommendations.
Where can I get proof of my flu shot vaccination?
For official proof of your flu vaccination, please email us at info@seattlevna.com and we will send you a Certificate of Immunization. For official proof of your COVID vaccine, please visit waverify.doh.wa.gov.

Where can UW Health Sciences students get a flu shot?
UW Health Sciences students are required to receive annual influenza vaccination (or meet the waiver requirements) each year. Details about how to meet the requirement are available on the Health Sciences Immunization Program (HSIP) website.
Where else can I get a flu shot?

I tried to sign up but it will not verify my insurance. I wanted me to pay out of pocket and I use my Regence medical insurance every month so I know it is good. Not sure why this is not accepted.
