
Passport to Well-Being: Let Your Wellness Journey Take Flight This Summer
Ready for a summer adventure that doesn’t require a suitcase? Buckle up—Passport to Well-Being: The UW Summer Wellness Challenge is about to take off!
From Monday, July 14 to August 22, join colleagues from across the UW community for a six-week journey focused on fueling your health and happiness. This all-campus challenge is your ticket to feeling good, having fun and connecting with others—no plane ticket required.
As you “travel” through the challenge, you’ll explore four essential wellness destinations:
- Mental Health
- Physical Activity
- Connection
- Nourishment
Along the way, you’ll complete meaningful daily or weekly activities that promote balance and well-being. The activities are all about connecting to your own personal health and your community, supporting your well-being and practicing simple steps that can add up to a larger, more positive health outlook.
Example of challenge activities: Take a mindful breathing break, stretch for five minutes, savor a cup of tea without distractions, reflect on what you’re grateful for, take a walk with your water and send a kind note to someone you appreciate.
But it’s not just about your health and well-being, the program is also about have a fun competition with yourself and colleagues for some serious bragging rights!
Each action earns you miles and stamps in your digital passport—bringing you closer to joining one of our official Mileage Groups:
- Cherry Blossom Bronze
- Spirit Purple
- Husky Gold
Earn enough miles at the end of the program to be in an official Mileage Group and you’ll also unlock a digital certificate of completion, with top travelers gaining champion status and some serious bragging rights!
Whether you’re taking five minutes for mindfulness, going on a walk with a friend or trying a new recipe, you’ll be racking up miles and cheering on fellow travelers. The best part? You choose your own adventure—at your pace, on your schedule.
Registration is now open, and your passport will be delivered via email on Monday, July 14, complete with instructions for takeoff.
So grab your (virtual) carry-on, rally your travel companions and get ready to chart a course for a more energized, connected and nourished you. The journey starts here!
